bautista starts Africa experience with RfH
The Spanish MotoGP rider left for Africa yesterday to participate in a ride with Riders for Health Experience Africa, an initiative promoted by the official MotoGP humanitarian organization.
Alvaro Bautista traveled to Zambia to participate in the joint venture Riders for Health Experience Africa until the end of the month. He joins a group of people who are taking part in the adventure that will raise money to save lives on the African continent by providing health care and medicines in remote areas.
With former Grand Prix rider and co-founder of Riders for Health, Randy Mamola, accompanying them, the group will make an extensive cross country journey by motorcycle to witness first hand the humanitarian work the organization does. The motorcycles leading the trip are the same as those that Riders for Health uses to bring aid to remote rural communities throughout Africa.
"I am so pleased to be taking part in this amazing adventure to Zambia with Riders for Health," Bautista explained before traveling. "I’ve been a supporter of Riders for Health for a long time and I can’t wait to see the work that they are doing. The riding will be fantastic, and everyone who signs up and comes along to help raise money for Riders for Health will have an incredible time".
