On Sunday morning riders from all three categories of the World Championship were invited to depart from Pit Lane as a group, and completed a lap of the track in honour of Simoncelli. The procession was led by former World Champion Kevin Schwantz riding at the head of the group on board Simoncelli’s San Carlo Honda Gresini RC212V bike.

Stefan Bradl - 2011 Moto2 World Champion
Stefan Bradl claimed the 2011 Moto2 Championship after the withdrawal of title rival Marc Marquez from the final race of the season, making the 21 year-old the first German rider to take a World Championship since Dirk Raudies in the 125cc class in 1993.
Pirro scores his first win at Valencia
Gresini Racing’s Michele Pirro rode to his first Moto2 win at the Gran Premio Gernerali de la Comunitat Valenciana, in emotional conclusion to the final race of the season for the Gresini Team. Mika Kallio and Dominique Aegerter completed the podium.
